Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary
You'll find two miles of trails for walking, birdwatching and sightseeing any time of year. There are numerous programs offered during the summer, such as:
   →  Day Camps for children
   →  Wet and Wild.... Explore the watery world of frogs, fish, and other aquatic creatures
   →  Nature Detectives... Track animals, go on scavenger hunts, search for nests, hunt for crabs
   →  Crafty Critters... Creative workshops for young animal-lovers. Butterfly kites, bird masks, puppets

Museums
The Martha's Vineyard Preservation Trust

The Vincent House
Built in 1672, this house is the Island's oldest residence. The house consists of five rooms, furnished with period antiques, to depict Island life throughout the last four centuries.

Martha's Vineyard Historical Society

The Thomas Cooke House
The Cooke family built this house in the early 1800s, and occupied it for four gereations. The house is the only example of a Colonial house of this period still in its original design.
The Cooke house contains exhibits relating to history of Martha's Vineyard, including archaeology, fossils, the Cooke family, spinning and weaving tools, needlework, and children’s toys and games.
In the tool shed, historical tools and equipment are displayed.

The Fresnel Lens Tower
The Fresnel Lens Tower
The Fresnel lens dates back to 1854 and consists of over 1,000 individual prisms.

The Carriage Shed
A collection of historical vehicles and boats includes an early town fire engine, a hearse, a sleigh and a large wagon that served as a traveling store, a whaleboat, a Nomansland boat, and artifacts.

The Tryworks
A tryworks is a machine used to boil down whale blubber and extract the whale oil. This replica is of a tryworks on the deck of a whale ship, although tryworks were often located on land.

The Francis Foster Maritime Gallery
Material relating to whaling, coastal shipping, fishing and shellfishing, the Island ferries, scrimshaw and sailor’s artwork, and souvenirs brought back to Martha’s Vineyard from other parts of the world.

10,000 Years on Martha’s Vineyard – A Native American Record
The history of the Native American people of Martha's Vineyard from ancient times to the present is chronicled. The exhibit includes some fascinating artifacts including pottery and a soapstone boat.
